Dr Giles Molyneux
Founder of Medics Away
Giles was the the founder and the inspiration for all elective destinations and adventures with Medics Away. His tragic and untimely death on Fathers Day, June 15th 2008 left all who knew him shocked. Giles is not a car accident. He was and still is, a highly accomplished, thoughtful and generous family man, who would stop at nothing to bring happiness and health to all who crossed his path. Medics Away is Giles; the company will live on for many years to come, and so will he.
Dr Jessica Triay
Assistant Director and Quality Control Officer
Jessica is Dr Molyneux’s wife and is a training Registrar doctor practising in and around Bristol. Her assistance and guidance with medical rotations and quality control is vital to the future of Medics Away.
Dr Julian Proctor
Electives Coordinator and Acting Managing Director
Julian is Dr Giles Molyneux’s youngest brother. They grew up together, they played sport together, they travelled together and they ran Medics Away together. Since the tragic death of his elder brother, Julian has dedicated his time to medicine, business and his family. He will stop at nothing to ensure that all individuals treated by him in a clinical setting, or served by him in a company setting, are given his undivided attention.
Dr Mohammed Zakaria
Elective Specific Coordinator, Malaysia
Medics Away is privileged to associate with Dr Zakaria. An Islamic family man with huge integrity and superb enthusiasm for the future. His role in the UK is to assist in the smooth operations of Malaysian electives. Mo can also advise students on many matters of an Islamic nature and the impact this may have on travel (i.e. availability of Halal food abroad, etc.) Questions may be directed at Mo via for now.
Graham Proctor
Administrative Director & IT Developer
Graham Proctor is the father of Dr Molyneux and Dr Proctor. He administrates, develops and co-coordinates all electives. On-call year round, deeply committed to organisation and a bit of a detail man, Graham suits his role perfectly.
Greg Hunter
Assistant Electives Coordinator
The latest addition to the Medics Away team. Employed to help with the every day running of the company. Fast, enthusiastic, keen to travel, entrepreneurial….Greg’s got everything! He’s not Dr Proctor, but is the next best thing!
Hugh Proctor
Graphic Design
Middle brother syndrome, I think not! He is highly motivated, well travelled, artistic and bilingual. However, most important out of all these facts is that he is hilariously bad at tennis (sorry Hugh, but Giles and I would both agree on that one!). Design and creativity, combined with IT and systems development, makes Hugh the perfect candidate for the job. You’re Hired!!
Pamela Proctor
Company Secretary
Pamela is mother to all the Molyneux and Proctor boys. A Pan American airlines stewardess for 8 years, started numerous successful businesses and now enjoying life in sunny Dorset working as a medical secretary to a busy Orthopaedic Consultant. Administration and entrepreneurialism come naturally. Never one to mince words; the life and soul of every occassion.
